Remember this? I was on a mission that day in class:
to collect the most ridiculous pictures of my classmates using every weird Snapchat filter I could find. And then, there you were, my unsuspecting victim. I snapped the picture and couldn't stop laughing at how cute you looked, even with the goofy filter.
Sending it to you was a bold move, but I'm so glad I did.
It was the "Profile Picture lagiye de" that started it all.
I risked my parents' wrath and my FIITJEE attendance record just to see you. I literally had a checklist in my reminders app of everything I needed to tell you about my life. I didn't want to miss a single detail. Looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. That one skipped class turned into our everyday routine of sharing Maggi and making new memories in college. Best. Trade-off. Ever.
Remember our post-WBJEE celebration at South City Mall? We were so relieved. And, that was the day, my PHASE 1 results came out for SRMJEEE. We spent half the time just making fun of that couple in front of us, and it was perfect. I knew right then I had found my partner in crime.
This picture is so special to me. We made it to the same campus, starting a brand new chapter of our lives together. But the best part was this moment—our families, all in one place. Looking at this photo, I realized I had found a whole other Family.
There's friendship, and then there's us. The four of us—you, Debadrita, Udittya, and me—have always been our own little world. This trip to Kolkata for Durga Puja was so special. It's one of my favorite memories of our core four. We didn't know it then, but it was the last time just the four of us would fly somewhere together like that. I'll cherish this memory forever.
Friends and adventures make life amazing, but you... you are my anchor. Through all the chaos of travel, the stress of exams, and the fun of college, you've been my one constant. This picture says it all—just us, in our own little world, in a busy airport waiting area. It doesn't matter where we are, as long as I'm with you, I'm home.
I smile every time I see this picture. It's not one of our 'perfect' ones. It's one of those moments where we were annoying each other. But those looks say everything—underneath the irritation, we both knew exactly how much our bond had endured and how much we valued it. It's the kind of friendship that's real.
